At Petite Rouge, we are made of the old world. Rooted in the warm Southern air of Grand Coteau, Louisiana, we bring together old-world herbal goods, infused honeys, teas, tinctures, baths, and pantry staples alongside a curated collection of antiques and vintage finds. It's a blend that keeps the heart of a historic destination shop alive — a space that feels storied and personal.
It began with a lifelong love of antiques. I started collecting in high school, fascinated by the stories held in every piece, and told my husband that one day I wanted a shop where people could see how special these finds truly are. Bryan said, "Just do it!" — and once our youngest of six children started school, we did. As a family, we painted, repaired, and prepared, and opened Petite Rouge in Grand Coteau on March 4, 1998.
Since then, the shop has grown into more than an antiques store. Our love of natural health and harmony led us to add herbals, teas, elderberry, tinctures, baths, infused honeys, and herbs to what we offer — surrounded, fittingly, by the bees, dragonflies, birds, and butterflies that support our honey and tender herbs. We believe that what nature supplies is a providential way, guiding our steps in growth since we first opened our doors.
We invite you to visit us, in person or online, and share your story with us. Whether you come for an herbal remedy, a vintage piece for your home, or guidance with an estate, we're here to help you find what feels true, beautiful, and enduring.
